A sauce for a milestone
America’s 250th anniversary gave us a reason to do something different. We wanted to create a barbecue sauce that honored the traditions that bring people together around a grill, a smoker, and a table. The result was 1776 Independence Blend: a commemorative release intended to feel special from the moment you open the box.
Why 1,776?
We chose a single production run of 1,776 numbered bottles. That number is part of the story, not just a marketing gimmick. Once that production run sells through, we do not plan to reproduce the same numbered edition.
Why the presentation matters
We spent considerable time on the packaging because we knew some customers would buy a bottle for a backyard celebration and others would give it as a gift or keep it as a collectible. The box, branded details, and protective presentation were designed to make the experience feel different from grabbing a standard bottle off a grocery shelf.
The $20.26 decision
We priced the bottle at $20.26 as a nod to the anniversary year. That price also reflects the extra work and presentation that went into this limited edition. The sauce itself was developed to be useful across a range of barbecue favorites rather than restricted to one region or one meat.
Use it or save it?
That is entirely up to you. Brush it on ribs, serve it alongside brisket, or bring it to a cookout. If you prefer to keep the numbered bottle unopened, we understand that too. Either way, 1776 is our way of marking a historic anniversary with something rooted in what we know best: barbecue.
